Matt's Mentions: DC vs Vampires #3

Sometimes a cover is just a wonderful work of art. Sometimes a cover teases the story. Otto Schmidt’s cover for Dc Vs. Vampires hints at the main story beat of this issue with two beloved characters facing off. I don’t want to spoil this issue so I won’t be revealing too much of the plot. Suffice it to say Tynion & Rosenberg, both solid writers, tread a tight rope of characterization. Heroes are being turned into vampires! Does this vampirefication also turn them evil? Is it the old adage absolute power corrupts absolutely? If that’s the case, why isn’t Superman… but I digress. This comic contains some fun plot beats with the Bat family, a Wonder Twin that I feel sorry for, and an Oliver Queen that rings true! It’s too early for me to tell if I love this series, but I will say if it continues to get better every issue, as it has so far, this will not be a limited series to miss.
